Lucknow: New vacancies are open in Lucknow Metro

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation has released a fresh list of vacancies in which 386 applicants can apply which will cover the entire 23 km long North-South Corridor from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipuliya Crossing. These are final openings for operation and maintenance of the first phase of corridor set to commence by April 2019.

The openings will be across technical and non-technical sectors and both executive and non-executive category.

The interested candidates who are willing to apply will have to go through a written test and a psycho-aptitude test to qualify for the positions. LMRC plans to bring the new team on board by June and give them training over the next six months to make them ready for attending the passengers and operating the trains by the time the corridor begins commercial operation in April 2019.

Apart from the reservations based on caste systems, there will be 20% reservations for all women residents of UP.

Earlier, LMRC had opened vacancies twice- once for 77 positions and the second time for 297 posts. Here the management had asked for experienced candidates for certain posts. Ajay Kant Rastogi, Director Finance LMRC said, “At that time, we were new and needed experienced hands to execute the project effectively. Now we are about one year old in operations and have sufficient experience. The new opening is for freshers only.”

The vacancies are for station controller cum train operators, civil and electrical engineers, architects, assistant managers for finance, HR, public relations, customer relations assistant etc. The last date for receiving applications for the positions is March 27, 2018. While the exam for station controller cum train operators will be held on April 16, for remaining posts the exams are scheduled on May 6 and 13, 2018.
