One of the finest Festival in LUCKNOW which includes every poet in the country to show up their talents and promotes literary on a very huge level. Every year contests are organized for the interested members among the delegates and price distribution for deserving delegates has been done. Lucknow Literary Festival an international literary festival that held annually in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India since 2013.This fest is an endeavour of the Lucknow Society, which is a non profit organization dedicated to the cause of promoting & conserving the culture, tehzeeb & heritage of Lucknow.
It’s an initiative that acknowledges new literary talents, honors our legends, while restoring literary tradition of the past, Lucknow’s own unique heritage and also evoking the newer generation’s interest. The event is also replete with entertainment for the literary taste.
They have already showed up to 5 editions in the city.. Let’s have a look on them one by one :
Inspired by the Jaipur Literary festival, literary minds in Lucknow have come forward to organise a similar event here. Organised under the aegis of Lucknow Society, litterateurs from across the country will converge in the city to have discussions on Hindi, English, Urdu, and Awadhi languages.
In the second Edition their main focus was on the Interactive Sessions and Activities for Children and youth. They welcomed more than 100 delegates across the globe. The founder of the Lucknow society Shamim Arzoo said that the society along with Lucknow First would be hosting the much awaited Lucknow’s International Literary festival 2014, at the prestigious Scientific Convention Centre, Lucknow. Luv Bhargav, Chairman of the Lucknow’s International Literary festival 2014, said at the press conference that the festival would be dedicated to renowned publisher Munshi Nawal Kishore.
Pandit Birju Maharaj felicitate the Wajid Ali Shah Award. This festival witnesses a galaxy of writers, speakers, thinkers, poets and performers sharing one platform reported the organizers. The third edition of the festival, which held in the heart of the city at King George Medical University’s Scientific Convention Centre, was also set to showcase the famous ‘Lucknowi tehzeeb’ (etiquette) to its audience.
4th The Literary festival once again invokes the creative spirit of the city and brings together the scholars from all over the country. Which can be easily seen amongst the youth as their interest in literacy promotes art & culture of the country. Inaugurated by Shri Akhilesh Yadav at Paryatan Bhavan.
5th Edition of Lucknow Literary Festival – 10-12 November 2017 :
With a successful completion of 4th Edition they launched its 5 edition dedicated this year’s festival to “Acid Attack Survivors”. T.V Journalists, President of AIMM, Poets, and TV anchors everyone took a keen participation in the festival .
As Everyone can see the successful hit of every single editions that has taken place in the Lucknow Literary Festival, now it’s time to see the 6th edition. And if you are a literature lover then It’s a platform for you to explore your talent of writing.
