Women on roads demanding justice protesting against the state government regarding “poor law and order situation” in Uttar Pradesh. This protest was lead by All India Democratic Women’s Association (ADIWA). The additional agenda was to seize the state government’s attention over the BJP’s electoral commitments.
Memoranda stating their demands were as follows:
1. Rehabilitate victims of the recent violence in Saharanpur
2. Commitment of fast-track courts for women associated problems
3. Issue of food and ration card that is eminent due to the compulsion on Aadhaar cards
4. Employment issue
5. Strengthening of public health services, financial assistance to Muslim children and to all girls from all communities for marriage.
